In which team do I belong?
Teams are divided based on age and gender.
The youngest teams are mixed teams, this means boys and girls play together in the same team. The youngest children start in the Kids Club and can then move on to play basketball in the X8, which is for children up to the age of 8.
In the year you turn 8, you move up to the X10.
In the year you turn 10, you move up to the X12.
In the year you turn 12, you move up to the X14.
When kids turn 14 they are seperated into boys- and girlsteams. The ‘M’ is for the boys teams and the ‘V’ for the girlsteams.
In the year you turn 14, you move up to the M16 or V16.
In the year you turn 16, you move up to the M18 or V18.
In the year you turn 18, you move up to the M20 or V20.
In the year you turn 20, you move up to the M22 or V22.
After turning 22 you’ll play in one of our senior teams. Exceptions are, of course, possible.
Competition
All youth teams at Pluto participate in the basketball competition organized by the Dutch Basketball Association. For the youngest players, a basketball tournament is periodically organized together with nearby clubs.
From the age of 10, you will play matches with your team against teams from the region. Both away and home games are scheduled throughout the entire season.
During matches, you can showcase your skills on the court and demonstrate what you and your team have learned. You will experience what it’s like to win and, unfortunately, sometimes to lose. But overall, playing matches is just a lot of fun!

Practices
The training schedule at Pluto varies per season. When there are changes to the training schedule, we inform our members via email and our social media. Via this link you will find the most up-to-date training schedule.
We recommend that all our members train at least twice a week. Experience has taught us that this is the fastest way to master the technique and various skills. This, in turn, leads to more enjoyment during both training and matches.
Matches
Do you want to find out what a Basketball match at Pluto is like? Come and check it out in our gym De Tarthorst. It is located at Tarthorst 152 in Wageningen. You can find the most up-to-date schedule for each team through this link.
Entry is free so feel welcome to come and cheer for the green team!
Kids-Club
The Pluto Kids Club is the ideal starting point for children aged 4 to 7 who want to play basketball. The Pluto Kids Club training sessions focus on ball skills and motor skills. The children learn how to move while learning the basics of the most beautiful sport there is: Basketball.
Training Sessions
The Kids Club training sessions are open to all children aged 4 to 7. If a sibling wants to join, that’s of course possible too! The sessions take place on Sunday mornings from 09:00 to 10:00.
The sessions are led by enthusiastic parents, alongside a number of youth players from Pluto. Due to the growing group, which is now reaching 25 participants, we split the group into bigger and smaller children after a general warm-up. With the bigger children we use the ‘high basket,’ and with the smaller ones we use lowered baskets. Success experiences are one of the key aspects of the enjoyment that basketball brings, so scoring the ball is definitely achievable!
